My Need For Truthwitch In My Life!

Wednesday, June 24, 2015
Warning: There is going to be a lot of fangirling and flailing in this post. You know, I might not make lots of sense. And I might have gone overboard with gifs. Also the pictures in the collages were taken from Susan's Truthwitch Pinterest board.

Ever since I heard of Truthwitch, I've been really excited for it. But when I saw the cover, I was blown away. I know that it's going to be such a badass series!
And I wanted to talk about the many reasons why I'm also DYING to be part of the street team for Truthwitch!!!

The Bloggers and BookTubers Hate

Wednesday, June 17, 2015
I don't know if you guys have heard about the drama going on in the book community. But I basically discovered the rift that's been going on between bloggers and booktubers.

Just a few days ago, a couple of bloggers were talking negatively about the booktube community. And were making generalizations about them as a whole.

What really upset me is when I saw for myself who the bloggers were and what they were saying. Because I knew their blogs and they've been blogging for a while now. And people that start a blog may look up to these bloggers. So it's so not okay with what they said. Because they may or may not

A Reader's Pet Peeve: Different Opinions On A Book

Sunday, June 14, 2015
As book lovers, we all have lots of books that we're just dying to read. But what happens when you shout out your excitement for a particular book on social media and someone says that didn't like it?

This has happened to me various times and I absolutely hate it! Like why would you say that? I'm here all excited about the books and then I get told by someone that they didn't like it. The way I work as reader is that if I see lots of positive reviews on Goodreads, I feel excited going into the book. But if I see more people giving it mixed reviews, I get nervous and will most likely set it aside

June TBR

Friday, June 12, 2015
Last month was a really bad reading month for me. I only got to read four books when I usually read about six to eight books a month. My reading slump got the best of me and the books I did read were not helping either. They just weren't my type. There was one that was 2 stars and another was 3 stars. The only one that I did enjoy was The Wrath and The Dawn. But I didn't completely love it the way I wished I had.

During the first week of June, I joined the TBR Takedown readathon where you read 5 books that each pertain to a challenge. And it definitely helped me tackle some books off my reading list.

The Challenges:
1. A book that's been on your TBR shelf over a year! (The Stars Never Rise & Hopeless)
2. A first book in a series on your TBR shelf. (The Witch Hunter)
3. An "out of your comfort zone" book on the TBR shelf! (Those Girls)
4. A book from your most recent book haul! (Howl's Moving Castle)

The 5th challenge was to read an unread sequel and I ended up not doing that one because the only sequel I had not read was Heir Of Fire. But that one would have been unrealistic since it's such a long

Small Hiatus

Tuesday, June 2, 2015
I've sort of been behind on my reading and scheduling posts. So I decided to take a one week break from blogging to catch up on writing my reviews and other posts I have in my drafts. I've never really wanted to do anything like this on my blog. But I feel if I tried to write up a post now, it come out feeling forced. And I don't want that.

Plus I've been kind of a downer with still being in a reading slump. It's never been this terrible. It's sort of like being in a stage where I've been reading books for more than 3 years and I'm not a "newlywed" reader anymore. I'm not in a honeymoon stage anymore. If that even makes sense.

But almost every book I've read this year has been 3 stars or below. I think I've only given three books a 5 star rating. And I feel it's because I'm not finding the right books for me. I always know that I'm a sucker for romances. I don't read adult books that often. I read more New Adult. But I
